Returning to Yourself Again and Again

There is a beautiful misunderstanding many of us carry. We believe remembering is something that happens once. One awakening. One breakthrough. One moment after which we never lose ourselves again.

But life has never moved in straight lines. It moves in tides. In seasons. In moon cycles. In spirals that return us to familiar places, each time inviting us to see them with new eyes.

We will forget. We will become busy. We will drift away from ourselves. This is not failure. It is part of being human. The invitation has never been to stay perfectly present.

The invitation is to notice when we have wandered…

And to return with tenderness instead of judgment. Again. And again. And again.

Perhaps this is why the soul is so patient. She knows that every homecoming deepens the relationship. Every gentle return strengthens trust. Every moment of presence becomes another thread weaving us back to ourselves.

The Wheel of Presence is not something we complete at the end of the month. It is something we carry with us. A quiet rhythm. A way of meeting ourselves. A way of walking through the world.

And whenever life feels loud again…

Whenever you find yourself searching instead of listening…

Whenever you notice you've wandered…

Simply pause. Take one conscious breath. Place your hand upon your heart. And remember. Home was never somewhere else. Home has always been the place within you that is willing to welcome you back.

A Remembering Practice

This evening, light a candle. Allow its flame to become a symbol of the steady light that has always remained within you, even in seasons when you could not feel it. Close your eyes. Take three slow breaths. Then ask gently:

Where have I left myself today?

Notice what arises. Without judgment. Without needing to explain. Simply gather those scattered pieces of yourself with compassion. Place your hand over your heart and whisper:

I am here now.

Sometimes, remembering begins with nothing more than those four words.

Continue the Wheel of Remembering

As we complete this month's journey through Presence, carry this knowing with you:

You never have to begin again from the beginning.

Each return is a continuation.

Each breath is another opportunity to come home.

Each season of the Wheel invites a deeper remembering of the woman you have always been.

🌙

May you walk gently.

May you trust your own rhythm.

May every return remind you that home has always been within you.

Until Next Time...
